Nawalparasi, June 9: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has elected Doman Bahadur Bhandari as its district chair in Nawalpur through voting.
Election coordinator Mina Sharma informed that Bhandari collected 142 votes securing the district chair against his rival Gokul Sapkota who collected 139 votes. Sapkota was trailed by Krishna Prasad Sharma with 136 votes.
Similarly, Jag Bahadur Rana is new vice chair, while Sudip Neupane secretary and Santa Bahadur Thada joint secretary.
The new working committee has 21 members. Although efforts were made to elect leadership through consensus in the first district convention, consensus eluded, leading to voting.
There were total 756 voters, among which, 433 participated in voting. #nepal #rss
