Biratnagar, March 31: The meeting today of the Koshi Provincial Assembly unanimously passed the Bill designed to amend the ‘Provincial Research and Training Institute Act, 2079’.
In the meeting, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Indramani Parajuli had proposed that the bill be passed. After Speaker Sirjana Danuwar submitted the proposal for decision, it was passed unanimously.
Earlier, Koshi Provincial Assembly member Rewatiraman Bhandari had proposed a five-point amendment to the bill. Minister Parajuli accepted the proposal.
Also at the meeting today, Social Development Minister Ram Prasad Mehta responded to questions related to the Ministry.
He told the assembly that the bill to make Maithili and Limbu languages as official languages, which had been recommended by the Language Commission, is being discussed in the thematic committee.
In response to a query raised by Assembly member Khinu Langwa Limbu, Minister Mehta said that the Dalit Empowerment Bill will also be presented in the upcoming budget session.
In today’s meeting, Chairperson of the Good Governance and Planning Committee, Khageshwari Poudel, presented the annual report for the fiscal year 2081/82. #nepal #rss
