Bishnu Poudel of CPN UML won in Rupandehi-2

Butwal: The Vice Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (UML) Bishnu Prasad Paudel has won the House of Representatives from Rupandehi-2.

Paudel has defeated the closest competitor Ganesh Poudel of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) by a margin of 1,366 votes. According to the final vote results, UML candidate Poudel has received 27,148 votes, while RSP candidate Ganesh Poudel has received 25,782 votes, Chief Election Officer Udvir Nepali informed.

Keshav Suryavanshi of the Rastriya Janamukti Party, which has the support of the ruling coalition, has received 22,010 votes. A total of 80,651 votes were cast in this constituency with 126,807 voters. According to the election office, there were 3,193 invalid votes.
