Buddhist heritage sites help bridge Nepal-Pakistan relation: Ambassador Abrar



Kathmandu, Feb 10: Youth Buddhist Association and Pakistan Embassy organised an event “Buddhist Heritage in Pakistan” (Visual Presentation) at Buddhist Relief Center Bhawan Hall in Kathmandu on Saturday.

Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal Abrar H Hashmi, while addressing the audience, thanked YMBA for honouring him to attend the event. He said that Buddhist heritage sites in Pakistan are pivotal in bridging people to people contact of Nepal and Pakistan.

Pakistan Archeological Department along with UNESCO are aptly and professionally preserving the very essence of Buddhist Sites.

Further said that Buddhist religious tourism has immense potential in Pakistan, especially due to presence of Buddhist religious sites in Taxila, Chakdara, Mingora and Peshawar areas of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, other participants and researchers acknowledged the importance of Buddhist heritage sites in Pakistan and desired for permanent inclusion of visiting these sites in Buddhist Religious Tourism packages by Tour operators especially in Nepal. #Nepal
