Kathmandu, May 29: Chairman of CPN (UML) and main opposition leader in Parliament KP Sharma Oli has said that the budget proposal of the present government cannot solve the economic problems of the country.
After the announcement of the budget on Monday at the Federal Parliament, Chairman Oli gave a brief response in the parliament building and said that even though the current budget shows the economic crisis, it will not provide a solution.
He responded that although the budget shows the crisis, it does not provide any solution to the crisis. He said, “The budget shows the crisis, but it does not give any solution to the crisis.”
He said that he will present his opinion about the budget in detail later.
The government today presented the budget for the next fiscal year 2023/24.
Meanwhile, Former Finance Minister Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada termed the present budget a mix of different political parties’ previous programs and policies, including CPN UML and Nepali Congress.
