Butwal, July 15: In the current fiscal year 2023/24, the Lumbini province government has spent 66.14 percent budget.
The government allocated Rs 17 billion 222 million and 799 thousand during the current year, but Rs 10 billion 742 million 793 thousand and 355 has been spent so far. Provincial Treasury Controller Deepak Gyawali informed about it.
According to him, capital expenditure has been more than current expenditure in the current fiscal year. The Ministry of Drinking Water, and Rural and Urban Development spent the highest budget at 77.40 percent, while the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers spent the least amount at 16.69 percent.
The Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers has spent only 9.009% on capital expenditure. According to the statistics provided by the Office of the Province Treasury Controller, the province Assembly has spent only 66.34 percent of the total budget of Rs 338 million and 838 thousand allocated to it.
