Kathmandu, May 29: CPN UML leader and Former Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has said that there is no possibility of implementing the budget brought by the government.
After the announcement of the budget on Monday, former minister Paudel gave a brief response in the parliament building and said that it is unlikely that the budget will be implemented. He said that the budget could not even provide a solution to the economic crisis of the country.
He said that the budget has not been able to do anything except announcing routine programs. He said that he could not even give hope and trust to the common Nepali people.
Paudel said that the budget could not come at the height from which it should have been resolved due to the crisis and recession in the economy.
He said, “Budget could not even provide a solution to the crisis-ridden economy. It has not been able to do anything except announcing routine programs. It cannot give hope and trust to the common Nepalese people. There is no possibility of implementing the budget as well. From the point of view of revenue mobilization, there is a painful situation in the current financial year. It cannot meet the target of revenue mobilization, capital expenditure, investment and economic growth of 6.5 percent.”
