ChatGPT AI-generated Nepali film poster released



Kathmandu, April 2: For some months, ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence (AI)-run software, has drawn attention of writers, researchers, creators, educators, students and scholars across the globe.

Debate and discussions have flared accordingly on both sides of this technology. However, its usage is limited in the Nepali market.

ChatGPT collects information from open sources in the web and uses generative AI technology to present the information in a new style.

For the first time in Nepal, a film poster has been prepared applying ChatGPT.

A poster of movie ‘Bahab’ was prepared by Riri, a high-tech engineering, with a picture of main actor Surakshya Panta after input of key information about the story.

Producer of the movie, Shreedhar Poudel, said that the poster of the movie carries the essence though it is prepared through Riri, which is under trial.

“We developed the poster with the help of AI to make something new. We are excited to see the result coming out from the Riri,” Poudel added.

He further shared that this shall help the independent cine actors in the long run, adding that it was a successful trial in the journey ahead along with the technology.

The movie Bahab which is being screened from next week has applied digital technology for the publicity campaign as well.
