Kathmandu, July 18: The Department of Industry has approved foreign direct investment (FDI) commitment worth Rs 58 billion in the fiscal year 2082/83.
The Department has stated that during the period, foreign investment commitments have been received for 897 projects worth Rs 9 billion 580 million through the automatic route and 219 projects worth Rs 48 billion through the approved route.
Foreign investment commitments of Rs 3 billion were received for 63 projects in the manufacturing sector last fiscal year. Similarly, foreign investment commitments of Rs 7 billion have been received for four projects under the energy sector.
Similarly, foreign investment commitments of Rs 23 billion have been received for 18 projects in the agricultural sector, Rs 13 billion for 227 projects in the tourism sector and Rs 2.83 billion for 727 projects in the information technology sector. #nepal #rss
