Chief Minister Karki lays foundation stone for Budhabare road

Biratnagar, Dec 9: Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Kedar Karki, has laid a foundation stone for the Budhabare road at Letang-6 of Morang, Nepal, today.

The road is 29.60 km long. Chief Minister Karki laid the foundation stone of the strategic roadway amidst a programme organized by the Infrastructure Development Office, Letang.

He informed at the programme that it is a strategic roadway which ensures convenience to the people from Miklajung rural municipality of Panchathar and Chaubise rural municipality of Dhankuta, and from Ilam and Taplejung as well to reach Biratnagar, the Koshi Province capital.

According to him, the roadway will further facilitate the people to reach their agricultural products to city markets.

The development projects would be launched only after identifying need now onwards, he assured.

On the occasion, other speakers urged all sides concerned for timely completion of the project.

A company- Santoshi-Joya and Brothers JV- has been contracted for the undertaking and to complete it by May 11, 2026.

It is being built at the cost of Rs 870.03 million. Construction company proprietor Bhim Paudel vowed timely handover of the roadway.
