China handed over Pokhara Regional International Airport to Nepal

KATHMANDU: Pokhara Regional International Airport, built by the Chinese government, was handed over to the Government of Nepal on Saturday.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who is on a visit to Nepal, handed over the key of the airport to Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka in the presence of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale will present a letter of appreciation to the construction company of the airport at Pokhara International Airport soon after the airport is handed over to Foreign Minister Khadka.

According to Pokhara International Airport Project Chief Binesh Munkarmi, 93 percent of the work has been completed so far.
