Kathmandu, April 3: A Chinese national has been arrested in Kathmandu on charges of conducting cryptocurrency transactions worth over Rs. 170 million.
The arrested individual has been identified as 35-year-old Zhu Yi Feng, who had been residing in Thamel. According to the District Police Range Kathmandu, he allegedly defrauded Nepali citizens by gaining their trust and invested the swindled money in cryptocurrency.
Police investigations revealed that he carried out crypto transactions totaling Rs. 170 million.
Authorities have obtained a five-day remand from the Kathmandu District Court to continue further investigation into the case. #nepal #china #crypto
