CMC announces to make fees adjustment in all programmes



Chitwan, Dec 15, 2019 : The Chitwan Medical College (CMC) has decided to make adjustment in fees of all faculties. Issuing a press statement on Saturday, the college promised to adjust the fees, urging students to participate in the examinations.

It is said though the college had signed a two-point agreement with the government, it has decided to adjust fees of all educational programmes which are run by the college.

The college administration has announced a six-point agreement and urged students and guardians to contact with its Kailashnagar-based Account Section to receive information about the adjustment.

The college on November 26 had signed the two-point agreement with the government, promising to make adjustment of additional fees charged during the latest two academic sessions in the MBBS and BDS programmes. The agreement was said to be come into effect from the following day or November 27.

The students who have been demanding the adjustment or withdrawal of additional fees charged in the latest four consecutive years were not convinced by the agreement.

It may be noted that the first-year students did not participate in the exams and the second -year students have also announced to boycott it. They were demanding the adjustment or refund of fees charged in other programmes such Bachelor in Nursing, Bachelor in Public Health, B Pharmacy, BMLT and BMIT as well.

“The regular fee schedule will be as per the structure determined by the University and exam fees and others will be taken as decided by the respective body,” the statement   read.

College Chair and Managing Director Prof Dr  Harishchanda Neupane  said the college  will implement the fees adjustment procedures by going a step ahead of the agreement it signed with the government .

He also urged all stakeholders concerned for help to resume college educational, administration and academic affairs, calling for students to take part in the examination.

He sought all-side support to implement the fees adjustment process through the building of mutual trust.
