KATHMANDU: The Government has formed a committee to study the problems related to the border area in the north and submit a report.
Today’s meeting of the Council of Ministers has formed a committee to study the problems related to the border area from Limi Lapcha to Hilsa in Namkha rural municipality of Humla.
Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and Government Spokesperson Gyanendra Bahadur Karki shared that the coordinator of the committee will be the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the members will be representatives of the Survey Department, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and border experts.
The meeting has also decided to accept grant assistance of around Rs. 1.93 billion for the implementation of the second phase of the Skills Project for Sustainable and Decent Employment with the support of the Swiss Government.
The government has approved to provide compensation for the land of the locals at the construction site of Mewa and Nalgad substations.
Similarly, the Rehabilitation and Care (Second Amendment) Directive 2078 has been approved for the disabled combatants of the Maoist army, armed conflict, historical people’s movement and Madhes movement.
He said that the meeting has decided to maintain the social security allowance and monthly allowance which was increased by 33 percent through the budget statement of the fiscal year 2078/79.
The meeting has decided to promote Krishna Chandra Aryal and Dhan Bahadur Oli, Under Secretaries of Nepal Foreign Service Gazetted Second Class, to First Class and Raj Kumar Shrestha, Joint Secretary of Gazetted First Class, to Special Class Secretary.
The government has decided to appoint Bishwa Mohan Adhikari of Kaski as the executive director of the Youth and Small Entrepreneur Self-Employment Fund and Dr Bikrant Dhakal of Morang to the vacant post of member of the Nepal Medical Council.
