KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has demanded action against the perpetrators involved in the rape and subsequent murder of adolescent girl Bhagirathi Bhatta of Baitadi.
The main opposition party has expressed disappointment for not carrying out punitive action against the perpetrators on part of the government.
Issuing a press release today, NC Spokesperson Bishwo Prakash Sharma demanded the Prime Minster to expedite the investigation of the incident, arrest the perpetrators without any delay and make effective the state mechanisms against all such criminal incidents.

According to police investigation and medical examination, Bhagirathi was found raped and murdered. However, the police and other investigative agencies have failed to trace any clue or arrest anybody regarding this incident.
