Parsa, Dec 8: Minister for Health and Population Dr Sudha Gautam shared that the Federal government has put on high priority the construction of the Narayani Hospital Building in Parsa district.
Minister Gautam said so while monitoring the Narayani Hospital in Birjung, on Monday.
The Minister expressed the government’s concern over the deteriorating infrastructures of the Hospital and mentioned that the Federal government thus has accorded top priority to the construction bid.
Furthermore, the Minister pledged to resolve the complications arising out in the building construction process by understanding the core problems and by coordinating efforts with the concerned agencies such as the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction.
She further expressed her commitment, “We will finalize the process for the Environmental Impact Assessment required for the hospital building and move forward with the necessary process by allocating budget in the upcoming fiscal year.”
Emphasizing the need to carry out the construction of infrastructures of the Narayani Hospital at the earliest, the Minister assured that the process will be expedited with urgency.
Stating that the health sector is the top priority and investment of the government of Nepal, she expressed her concern over the lagging behind of health sector of Parsa district despite having adequate resources.
During the inspection, Minister Gautam revealed the federal government was planning to increase the vacancy of nurses and medical officers for the Narayani Hospital.
On the occasion, Medical Superintendent of the Hospital, Dr Chitaranjan Saha, briefed Minister Gautam about the service delivery in the Hospital.
