Country records lower infection, 145 died with COVID-19



KATHMANDU: At a time when coronavirus infections are on the rise, more people are getting recovered than new ones on Wednesday.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 6,714 new infections have been added and 6,716 have recovered from COVID-19.

RT-PCR tests of 19,030 samples in laboratories across the country confirmed the infection in 6,677 people and 37 in 322 antigen tests. According to the ministry, 1493 infected people have been added in Kathmandu Valley, out of which 1139 are in Kathmandu, 241 in Lalitpur and 113 in Bhaktapur district.

At the same time, the number of actively infected people across the country has reached 117,077. A total of 145 people have lost their life in the last 24 hours. The death toll has reached 6,845.

Likewise, coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 186 children under the age of 10 and 615 in the age group of 11 to 20 years, according to the ministry.
