KATHMANDU: The country on Friday recorded 426 new cases of coronavirus infection including 273 males 153 and females, the Ministry of Health and Population said. A total of 5,225 TR-PCR tests were conducted across the country in the past 24 hours.
With the latest data, the coronavirus tally in the country reached 261,019.
The Ministry stated that altogether 167 new cases of the virus infection were reported in the Kathmandu Valley in the past 24 hours including 134 in Kathmandu district, 18 in Lalitpur and 15 in Bhaktapur.
Similarly, 748 infected ones got recovery from the virus in the latest update. So far, altogether 253,107 people got recovery from the Covid-19. At present, the country has 6,048 active reported cases.
Likewise, the Ministry stated that eight more people died of the virus infection across the country in the past 24 hours. With this, the total number of fatalities caused due to Covid-19 reached 1,864.
