COVID-19: 105 more people infected across the country

KATHMANDU: Today, another 105 people have been confirmed infected with the coronavirus. According to Ministry of Health and Population, the number of people infected with the virus in Nepal has reached 271,707. An additional 2,799 RT-PCR tests were carried out. So far, the government has carried out sample RT-PCR test of 20,88,372.

According to the Ministry, 267,065 people have so far returned home after recovery. In the last 24 hours, 272 infected people across the country have recovered and returned home. At the same time, the number of those recovered from coronavirus has reached 267,564. Currently, the number of actively infected people remain 2,108 across the country.

The Ministry source informed that there are still 92 infected people in quarantine. Similarly, 64 infected people are in ICU and 13 are in ventilator, according to the ministry.

Among the newly added coronavirus cases are one in Jhapa of Province No. 1, one in Tehrathum, one in Morang and one in Sunsari, one in Rautahat of Province No. 2, 43 in Kathmandu of Bagmati Province, one in Kavrepalanchok, five in Chitwan, one in Chitwan, three in Bhaktapur and 12 in Lalitpur.

Nine in Kaski, one in Nawalparasi East and one in Lamjung, two in Arghakhanchi of Lumbini, one in Kapilvastu, one in Gulmi, seven in Dang, three in Palpa, one in Pyuthan, two in Bardiya and four in Rupandehi.

Two more died

Two more people have died in the last 24 hours due to coronavirus infection in Nepal. So far, the death toll from the coronavirus has reached 2,023, according to the ministry.
