Kathmandu: The country has recorded 110 new COVID-19 cases with zero infection related death in the past 24 hours.
The caseloads were from the total 3,827 tests (1,752 PCR and 2,075 antigen), according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
So far, 985,103 infected people have been free of the deadly virus with 126 in the last 24 hours. The recovery rate was 98.6 percent while infection rate 16.9 percent. So far, the death toll from the infection has hit 12,016.
The active infection cases are 2,062 including 1,161 in the Kathmandu Valley alone (793 in Kathmandu, 337 in Lalitpur and 31 in Bhaktapur).
At present, 999 infected people are in home-isolation and 63 in institution-isolation. Similarly, 20 have been admitted to intensive care units. The districts that recorded zero infection are Taplejung, Manang, Mustang, Humla, Dolpa, Kalikot, Bajhang and Darchula.
