KATHMANDU: A total of 522 new cases of coronavirus were recorded on Tuesday. The Ministry of Health and Population said among 4,551 PCR tests, infection was found among 338 male and 184 female.
In the last 24 hours, the Kathmandu Valley witnessed 232 infections- 139 male and 93 female.
With this, number of the total infection in Nepal has reached 262,784, while the number active infection stands at 5,225.
Similarly, 578 persons returned home with recovery which takes the total recovery cases to 255,666. The recovery rate stands at 97.3 per cent. Eight persons lost their lives due to coronvarious today, taking the death toll to 1,893.
Currently, there are 203 persons at ICU and 44 with ventilator support, fighting the Corona Virus.
