COVID-19 updates: 263 new cases with two deaths

Kathmandu: The country recorded a total of 263 cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 263 cases of coronavirus were detected in course of conducting 3,165 sample tests.  During the same period, 501 people recovered from the virus.

With this, the number of active cases of coronavirus has reached 5,434. Among them, 5,228 are in home isolation, 206 in institutional isolation centres while 61 are undergoing treatment in ICU and four others on ventilator support.

Likewise, two more persons succumbed to the coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours in the country, the Ministry added. With this, altogether 11,986 COVID-19 deaths have been reported in the country till date.

Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts have more than 500 active cases of coronavirus infection while there are 200 plus active cases of coronavirus infection in Morang.

Likewise, Manang, Kalikot, Darchula and Humla have no reported active cases of the virus.

A total of 127,321 people received vaccine against coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
