NUWAKOT: The health office in Nuwakot district has decided to vaccinate against COVID-19 infection twice a week to make it accessible to all. According to the Health Office, Nuwakot, the second dose and booster dose vaccination services are being provided every Monday and Wednesday from now on.

According to Amrit Maharjan, immunization officer at the health office, the vaccinated people are requested to contact the health center at Bidur Municipality-2 on Monday and Trishuli Hospital on Wednesday.

Similarly, 12 local levels of the district have also decided to provide vaccination services by determining vaccination centers from now on. As the health office will provide vaccines from two centers centered at the district headquarters for vaccination, the vaccination will be provided in the municipality as calling the entire district to the same place may increase the risk of infection and congestion. Vaccination officer Maharjan said that the vaccination service will be provided from the center on the specified date of each month.

All people over the age of 12 are urged to be vaccinated as access to vaccines is the most appropriate way to protect against the risk of infection. In Nuwakot, the vaccination service against coronavirus has been made accessible to all.

So far, more than 300,000 doses of five different companies have been introduced in the district. Since the inception of the vaccination program, 61,910 doses of Covishield, 67,700 doses of AstraZeneca, 95,100 doses of Vero Cell, 15,910 doses of Johnson & Johnson and 64,800 doses of Moderna Company have been received in Nuwakot.
