CPN (UML) leaders Bhusal, Pandey suspended from party

KATHMANDU: Chairman of CPN (UML) and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has suspended party leaders Ghanashyam Bhusal and Surendra Pandey for six months. Chairman Oli suspended the two leaders arguing that the latter’s clarification furnished were not satisfactory.

Leaders Bhusal and Pandey had been asked to furnish clarification for allegedly working against the interest of the party.
The suspension letter reads that they have been suspended for six months from all responsibilities of the party expect that of HoR member as per the clause 49 (b) of the party statute 2049 (amendment 2071) for not admitting their mistakes and for not apologizing their wrongdoings in the clarification sought from the leaders.

Chairman Oli has also stated that the two leaders have been given the final chance for getting corrected.

Prior to this, party’s senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and another leader Dr Bhim Rawal were suspended for six months.

Meanwhile, senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has reiterated that he would continue to make a stronger CPN (UML), and looking for a new party office.
