Deepak Niraula elected as the Chair of UML Kathmandu



Kathmandu, June 11: Deepak Niraula has been re-elected as the Kathmandu District Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML). He was elected with 370 votes.

Saraswati Gautam, a member of the convention organizing committee, informed that Nirmal Deula, another candidate for the Chairmanship, got 191 votes.

Bishwaram Sapkota has been elected as the district vice chairman, Rajesh Shakya as the secretary and Uddhav Bhandari as the deputy secretary (open).

Bindu Maharjan was unanimously elected as the women’s deputy secretary. Out of 225 posts, 130 posts were elected unopposed. Elections were held on Tuesday for only 95 posts.
