Kathmandu, April 25: It has been informed in the House that the post of MP of Dhaka Kumar Shrestha of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is vacant.
In today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire informed the Federal Parliament that the RSP has requested to remove Shrestha from the post of HoR member as he was relieved from the ordinary member of the party.
Speaker Ghimire informed the Assembly in accordance with Section 35(1) of the information issued by the RSP in accordance with Section 34 (1) of the Political Parties Act, 2073 BS for the purpose of Section 36 of the same Act.
The RSP has already nominated Bindabasini Kansakar in place of Dhaka Kumar Shrestha. Mr Shrestha bargained to collect bribe from medical tycoon Durga Prasai. Prasai himself disclosed the audio conversation.
After the party investigation, RSP removed Dhaka Kumar from the post of Member of Parliament. He was nominated as MP from party’s proportional representation quota.
