Do not participate in group meeting, otherwise face action: Ishwor Pokhrel

KATHMANDU: The General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) Ishwor Pokhrel has warned of action against those participating in any group meeting.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday evening, General Secretary Pokharel said that the party had not organized any meeting on March 17 and 18.

He has clarified that if anyone take part in such group meeting, the party may take action in accordance with the constitution, party and parliamentary party statuates and rules.

The statement said, “The CPN (UML) has issued special instructions to all leaders and cadres not to hold such unauthorized gatherings, not to confuse the cadres and not to participate in such undisciplined gatherings even if someone calls them.”

Senior leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal faction of CPN (UML) have organized a gathering of national cadres at the Heritage Garden in Lalitpur on March 17 and 18.
