Eight climbers scale Manaslu this morning



Kathmandu, Sept 23: A team of eight climbers, including Sherpa guides, summited Mount Manaslu (8,163 metres) early this morning.

Six of the climbers reached atop the world’s highest peak at 4:08 AM, while two others made it at 9:35 AM, confirmed expedition organiser, Seven Summit Treks, a leading Nepal-based expedition operator.

Among the climbers was a 17-year-old Asha Noor Shehryar from the United States, making this achievement as one of the youngest climbers to summit the mountain.

The climbing team is safely descending to the lower camp, informed SST.
