AEPC organizing 3-day Int’l Clean Energy Conference from Jan 26



Kathmandu, Jan 20: The Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (AEPC) is to organise ‘International Clean Energy’ conference on the occasion of International Day of Clean Energy.

At a news conference organized here today, the Centre informed that the Day is going to be celebrated by organizing the three-day conference starting January 26. The United Nations has been observing January 26 every year as the International Day of Clean Energy since 2024 with the objective of raising awareness and mobile action for a just and inclusive transformation to clean energy for the benefit of the people and the planet.

Various programmes including interaction with stakeholders about problems, challenges and opportunities related to clean energy, condition of renewable energy and energy capacity, government’s priority, among others would be organized in the conference.

On the occasion, Executive Director of the Centre, Nabaraj Dhakal, shared, “The conference will provide an opportunity to gather national and international government and non-government bodies, province governments, local levels, research and academic organisations, development partners, investors, private sector, media sector, experts at the same place.”

There would be participation of more than 350 people in the conference, he added. It is expected that the conference would be helpful in effective implementation of Energy Development Roadmap and Action Plan, 2081, and Action Plan related to Increasing Power Consumption and Reducing Fossil Fuel, 2081. #nepal #Energy  #RSS
