Kathmandu, July 10: A group of experts on international relations have gathered here to dwell on the knowledge production in China and South Asia.
The discussion taking place at the International Relations and Diplomacy Department (IRD) of Tribhuvan University underlined that knowledge and discovery are the foundations of long-term development.
The event focused on regional dialogue on knowledge production was organized in collaboration with the IRD, Tribhuvan University and the Kathmandu Institute of Research and Consultancy (KIRC). The speakers said cooperation was imperative in the sector of knowledge and research.
A professor from the East Asia Studies Department at Delhi University, Dr Rajeev Ranjan, and a scholar from Sichuan University of China, Prasant Kumar BK, engaged in an insightful conversation on the geopolitics of South Asia and China.
Professor Ranjan emphasized that a diverse range of knowledge can significantly contribute to the growth of society, nations and international relations. A professor at TU’s IRD, Dr. Khadga KC, noted that both India and China have been making strategic investments to enhance knowledge production in this field.#nepal #rss
