Kathmandu, July 20: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad Poudel has expressed sorrow over the demise of the founder of Dwarika’s Hotel Ambika Shrestha.
Visiting the late Shrestha’s family members in Dwarika’s Hotel this morning, the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister expressed condolences on Shrestha’s demise.
On the occasion, Poudel recalled the contributions of Shrestha to Nepal’s hospitality industry and added that she will be always missed in the history of Nepal’s tourism sector.
A family source said that the final rites of Shrestha will be performed in the electric crematorium at Pashupati Aryaghat today.
Shrestha passed away on Thursday. She was 92.
She has a significant contribution to developing Dwarika’s Hotel as a ‘sanctuary for the architectural grandeur of the Newari civilization’. #nepal #dwarikaz
