Finance Minister Paudel leaves for India



Kathmandu, Feb 23: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudal has left for India this afternoon to attend the G-20 Finance Ministers’ Conference. The conference is scheduled to be held on February 24 and 25 in Bangalore, India.

On this occasion, Finance Minister Paudel will hold discussions with counterparts from various countries including India. Shri Krishna Nepal, Head of the International Financial Assistance Coordination Division of the Ministry of Finance, is also participating with him.

Although Nepal is not a member of the G20, India invited Nepal to participate in the conference when India took over the presidency. India, China, Japan, USA, Britain and other countries are in G-20. Deputy Prime Minister Paudel will return to the country on February 25, according to the Ministry of Finance.
