KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Finance has given an approval of Rs. 4,318.56 million for capacity building of hospitals and health equipment for prevention, treatment and control of COVID-19.
The Finance Ministry has granted approval to provide Rs 2.95 billion for ventilators, oxygen plants and oxygen tanks in 26 central hospitals and nine provincial hospitals.
Similarly, Rs 1.36 billion has been allocated for the establishment of High-Dependency Unit (HDU) in 25 central and state hospitals.
The Ministry of Finance has ensured the resources as per the demand of the Ministry of Health and Population under the policy of taking all necessary measures for the prevention, treatment and control of COVID-19.
