TAPLEJUNG: The fire broke out at Kopche in Phungling, the district headquarters of Taplejung. A fire broke out at a house near a meat shop in Kopche Bazaar.
According to locals, the fire started at 8 am today. A house has been gutted by the fire but the fire has not been brought under control. Locals and security personnel have been deployed to control the fire. The fire brigade of Fungling Municipality has reached to control the fire. The surrounding houses are also at risk due to the fire.
If the fire spreads elsewhere, Kopche Bazaar will be at full risk. More details are yet to come. This is the first case of fire in the market area this year after the onset of dry season in the district headquarters, which has been suffering from fire almost every year.
