RAJBIRAJ: Three people died in a road accident occurred in Saptari district on Saturday.
According to the police, two people died in a road mishap that took place at Khadak municipality-4, Amaha in Saptari along the East-West Highway while one died in a separate road accident at Shambhunath municipality-8, Milanchowk.
Two motorcyclists died when a motorbike (Ba 56 Pa 2515) from west to east collided with another motorbike (Sa 5 Pa 8434) coming from opposite direction.
Binek Sapkota, 22, of Shivasatasi municipality-6 of Jhapa, rider of the motorbike (Ba 56 Pa 2515) and Dayaram Singh Rajbamshi, rider of the motorbike (Sa 5 Pa 8434) died in the accident, Saptari Police shared.
Chandan Kumar Sah, 35, of Matihani municipality-7 of Mahottari was critically injured in the accident. The injured was sent to Biratnagar for treatment, informed Information Officer of District Police Office, Saptari, DSP Madhav Prasad Kafle.
Likewise, pillion rider Pramodh Manal, 40, of Bihul rural municipality-6, Rautahat died in a motorbike accident at Shambhunath municipality-8, Milanchowk.
The passenger-ferrying bus (na 5 Kha 9000) had knocked the motorbike coming to east from west.
Meanwhile, two persons died after a jeep accident occurred at Lamibagar of Indrasarobar Rural Municipality-2 along the Hetauda Kulekhani-Kathmandu road section on Saturday afternoon.
Seriously injured in the accident, they died while being treated at Patan Hospital, Lalitpur.
The jeep (Na 1 Ja 4511) heading to Birgunj from Kathmandu somersaulted on the road being uncontrolled, according to District Police Office, Makwanpur.
Ten passengers including driver injured in the accident have been sent to different hospitals including that of Hetauda, and Sanepa and Patan of Lalitpur.
The dead ones are yet to be identified, the police added.
