Five Russian nationals die in Mt Dhaulagiri

Myagdi, Oct. 8: Five Russian nationals of an expedition team died during their expedition to Mt Dhaulagiri.

The Russian nationals, who had been out of contact from the High Cap Base Camp of Mt Dhaulagiri since Sunday, were found dead on Tuesday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bharat Shrestha of Myagdi District Police Office confirmed that the dead bodies of Russian nationals Alexander Dusheyko, Oleg Kruglov, Vladimir Chistikov, Mikhail Nosenko and Dimitri Shpilevoi were recovered.

As five members of the expedition team went missing at 11:00 pm on Sunday, an aerial search for them was carried out.

A member of the expedition team was rescued and sent to Kathmandu, according to police. RSS #Nepal
