Foreign Minister Saud requests Qatar Minister to initiate the release of Bipin Joshi



Kathmandu, Nov 24: Minister of Foreign Affairs NP Saud has requested Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, to initiate the release of Nepali national Bipin Joshi, who is under the control of Hamas.

In response, Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Soltan assured to help Joshi’s release as soon as possible. During the meeting, Foreign Minister Saud also praised the Qatar government’s role as mediator for the ceasefire in Gaza and the release of citizens held hostage by Hamas.

Earlier on Thursday, Minister Saud called the ambassador of Israel to the ministry and talked about Joshi’s release.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting, the two dignitaries discussed various areas of common interest including employment, trade and investment, development cooperation as well as exchange of high level visits.

Meanwhile, Foreign Secretary Bharat Paudyal held bilateral meetings with Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.
