Former President Bhandari, PM Dahal grieve over Nembang’s death

Kathmandu, Sept 12: Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari said she was stunned by the untimely demise of CPN-UML’s vice-chairperson Subas Chandra Nembang.

In a tweet, she termed Nembang a politician with sober and coordinating personality. The passing away of CPN-UML’s parliamentary party deputy leader has caused an irreparable loss to the entire country and the party, the former President said. She expressed homage to the late leader Nembang and condoled the bereaved family members.

PM Dahal mourns Nembang’s demise

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said he was stunned from the passing away of Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairperson and former Speaker Subas Nembang.

Reaching the Maharajgung-based Teaching Hospital this morning, Prime Minister Dahal paid tribute to Nembang and extended condolences to the grief-stricken family members.

Nation loses a sober politician: Chairperson Regmi

Chairperson of the then Council of Ministers, Khilraj Regmi said the country has lost a sober and balanced politician with the passing away of Constituent Assembly chairperson Subash Chandra Nembang. He further said former Speaker Nembang’s coordinating capacity and his contributions to politics, law and constitutional bench will be ever-remembered.

Former Chairperson Regmi said, “Nembang had influence in justice sector. He played coordinating role in political and constitutional systems of the country to promulgate the constitution”. Regmi expressed deep sorrow and extended condolences to the grief-stricken family members.

Country loses an experienced politician: Speaker Ghimire

Speaker Devraj Ghimire said he was stunned by the untimely demise of Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairperson and former Speaker Subash Chandra Nembang. Expressing deep sorrow on the demise of Nembang, also the vice-chairperson of the CPN-UML, Speaker Ghimire said Nepal’s parliament has lost an experienced and prominent politician.

“The House of Representatives (HoR) has lost a sober, popular and competent member. I would like to extend my tribute to Nembang and express my deep condolences to the bereaved family members”, he said.
