Kathmandu, Aug 8: Experts on diplomatic issues have called for further cooperation between Nepal and Pakistan for development partnership and progress of both countries.
At a programme on ‘Nepal-Pakistan Cooperation and Future Prospects’ organized by Nepal Council of World Affairs on Tuesday, the speakers said that the bilateral cooperation has covered the areas of trade and tourism, joint venture enterprises and economic, industrial, scientific, technical and cultural areas.
During the programme, Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal Abrar H Hashmi said that the two countries have exchanged high-level visits since their formal diplomatic ties and such exchanges of visits have contributed to further deepen the friendship and cooperation.
The Ambassador said that both the countries have been facing same sorts of climate change impacts in the recent times and are also facing similar developmental challenges as the developing countries.
Ambassador Hashmi also proposed cooperation for the two countries’ progress and development.
Council’s Chairman Hemanta Kharel said that Nepal and Pakistan have shared similar views on regional and global issues and called for further collaboration.
On the occasion, Kharel said that the embassies of both the countries should work jointly for the promotion of cooperation in investment, trade and tourism sectors.
