Ghanshyam Bhusal nominated as Unified Socialist’s General Secretary

Kathmandu, March 19: Marxist leader Ghanashyam Bhusal has been nominated as the General Secretary of CPN (Unified Socialist) Party. The party secretariat meeting appointed Bhusal as the General Secretary on Sunday.

Similarly, the party has nominated Beduram Bhusal, who has been the General Secretary until now, as the Vice President. Ghanashyam Bhusal, who left the CPN UML before the general election, joined the CPN (U S).

The meeting decided to give a vote of confidence to the government led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’. Similarly, vice presidents Ghanendra Basnet, Kedar Neupane, Keshav Lal Shrestha and Dharmanath Prasad Sah have been nominated as members of the Secretariat. Earlier, there were 12 members in the Secretariat.

“In the House of Representatives meeting on Monday, there is a decision to vote in favor of the trust held by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and to join the coalition government,” said party Spokesperson Jagannath Khatiwada.

Prime Minister Dahal is scheduled to take a vote of confidence on Monday.
