Gold prices increase Rs. 700 per tola today



Kathmandu, Jan 16: Prices of gold and silver recorded a slight increase in the domestic market on Thursday. The prices of both precious metals have been on an upward trend for the past five days and continued to rise today as well.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of one tola (11.66 grammes) of gold has been fixed at Rs 277,200, while silver is being traded at Rs 5,645 per tola.

On Thursday, gold was traded at Rs 276,500 per tola, whereas silver was priced at Rs 5,485. On Wednesday, the price of gold stood at Rs 278,000 per tola and silver at Rs 5,655. Similarly, on Tuesday, gold was traded at Rs 276,500 per tola and silver at Rs 5,340.

Last Sunday, hallmark gold was traded at Rs 270,600 per tola. The price increased by Rs 4,100 per tola on the following day to reach Rs 274,700.

According to international media reports, gold is currently trading at USD 4,615 per ounce in the international market, while silver is priced at USD 92 per ounce. #nepal #gold
