Kathmandu, Nov 3 : The meeting of the Cabinet on Sunday morning decided to appoint Senior surgeon Dr Bhagawan Koirala as the Chairman of Nepal Medical Council.
Previously, Dr Koirala was also recommended for the post of Vice Chancellor of the Tribhuvan University.
Similarly, the Cabinet appointed Dr Dharma Kanta Baskota as the Vice Chancellor of the Tribhuvan University. He will be the 19th Vice Chancellor of the University.
Dr Baskota is the specialist doctor on ENT. He is also the personal doctor for the President Bidya Devi Bhandari. He has recently completed his tenure as Chairman of Nepal Medical Council.
A team of selection committee were formed to recommend appropriate candidates for both the organizations.
