Kathmandu, Mar 2: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the comprehensive development of youth.
Addressing the graduation parade of the 19th Senior Division Training of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) at the Army Pavilion, Tundikhel, today, Prime Minister Oli emphasized the need for disciplined youth who uphold the national flag adorned with the sun and moon. He stated that this program is a high priority for the Nepalese government.
“You are not just the hope and dream of your parents but also of your professors, relatives, and society. Therefore, in this phase of youth, you must build strong morale, develop leadership skills, uphold ethical values, and maintain discipline while understanding and fulfilling your responsibilities towards society and the nation,” said Prime Minister Oli, who is also the chief patron of the NCC.
He encouraged the graduates to dedicate themselves to the nation selflessly whenever required, expressing confidence that the knowledge gained during the training would inspire and support them in fulfilling their duties.
The Prime Minister extended his best wishes to the graduates, urging them to contribute to national development through fair competition rather than by undermining others.
The event was attended by First Lady Radhika Shakya, Defense Minister Manbir Rai, Vice-Chairman of the National Planning Commission Prof. Dr. Shivraj Adhikari, Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel, Kathmandu Metropolitan City’s Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol, and heads of security agencies, among others. The NCC contingents from India and the Maldives, along with the Bhutan Scouts, also participated in the event.
