On the occasion, President Deuba, also the former Prime Minister, urged the government to reinstate three journalists working in Radio Nepal Dipayal Office.

These journalists were recently sacked there. Also speaking on the occasion, NC vice president and former Deputy Prime Minister Bimalendra Nidhi accused the ruling party of mobilizing its cadres to launch attacks on NC cadres in one after another in incident.

The party would not stay tight-lipped if action was not taken against the guilty, Nidhi added. NC General Secretary Dr Shashanka Koirala said the government was failing to implement the constitution and meet peoples’ aspirations.

The government also failed to make proper allocation of the budget in three tiers of government, he noted.
