Govt committed to implementing reports of constitutional bodies: Minister Gautam



Kathmandu, July 10: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam, has said government is committed to implementing the recommendations furnished by the reports of the constitutional bodies.

During a discussion at National Assembly meeting on the report of the National Inclusion Commission for the fiscal year, 2081/82 today, Minister Gautam pledged enforcement of issues and suggestions given by the lawmakers on Commission’s reports. Minister Gautam was responding to lawmakers’ queries on behalf of Prime Minister Balendra Shah.

The Minister reminded that constitutional bodies are free from government and are responsible towards parliament.

It is the first time the report of the constitutional commission discussed in the parliament though sub-committees of the parliament had such practices, according to her.

The lawmakers participating in the discussion earlier were Padam Bahadur Pariyar, Madan Kumari Shah, Prem Prasad Dangal, Mohammad Khalid, Tul Prasad Bishwakarma, Dharmendra Paswan, Suresh Kumar Ale Magar, Roshani Meche, Krishna Prasad Adhikari, Somnath Portel and Bishnu Bahadur Bishwakarma.
