Govt heading towards development, prosperity and good governance: PM Oli

Kathmandu, Nov 22: Prime Minister and chairperson of CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli has said that after breaking many conspiracies and illusions, government has confidently moved forward on the path of fulfilling the commitment of development, prosperity and good governance.

Addressing an awareness rally organized by the three district committees of the UML Valley here in Durbarmarg today, Prime Minister Oli clarified that the coalition of the current government will remain until the next election.

He emphasized that everything must be done to bring economic prosperity by maintaining communal harmony in the country by defeating anarchy and instability.

He stated that any type of fraud, smuggling, corruption, character assassination and obscenity is not acceptable. He further said that the UML and the Nepali Congress have forged consensus to defeat any kind of irregularities.

China visit will be successful

The Prime Minister also asserted on the occasion that his upcoming official visit to China will be extremely successful.

The PM is going on a visit to the northern neighbour on December 2. He made it clear that his visit to China will not be only for the sake of visit, but would be focused in the interest of the country and the people.

PM Oli said the government has adopted the policy of not taking loans from anywhere as far as possible and of increasing own production.

Prime Minister Oli has urged industrialists to invest as investment friendly environment is created within the country.

Prime Minister Oli urged the investors to invest with confidence as the government is on a mission to create a ‘Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepali’ by maintaining peace and security in Nepal.

“Nepal’s economy was in a bad state. The economy is improving due to the policies and plans adopted by the current UML-Congress led government,” said Prime Minister Oli. Prime Minister Oli urged Nepal’s industrialists and multinational companies to invest in the country.

“You should invest, the government will arrange security and good governance,” he said. On another note, Prime Minister Oli said even though there are many rumors against them there was no logic to follow such baseless rumors.

“There have been things surfaced like deceiving the cooperative and blaming others, using shameful remarks, and swearing. Any kind of fraud is not acceptable.

The Nepali people will continue to fulfill the vision of ‘Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepali’ by maintaining the history and pride of their culture,” Prime Minister Oli said.

He challenged those who point fingers at him to come in face to face discussions. Mentioning that those who do not have to pay the bank loans will destroy the country’s economy, he claimed that the NEA should collect the arrears from the defaulting industries as per the bill but it should not stop power supply to them.

Likewise CPN (UML) GENERAL Secretary Shanker Pokhrel has said the party organized the awareness assembly against conspiracies misleading the nation.

Addressing the programme organized by the UML Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur district committees here today, he made it clear that the awareness rally has been organized to knock out the unnecessary conspiracies.

The UML General Secretary urged one and all to be aware against what he called various conspiracies being hatched when the country’s two large parties have joined forces to give a way out to the nation. Stating that UML was being attacked just because it is standing in favour of the nation and nationality, he said: “The IML is attacked from all sides. Several conspiracies are being hatched at present to finish off the UML.

The time has come for the entire party rank and file to be united to remove all types of disinformation spread against the party.” General Secretary Pokhrel maintained that Nepal has been included in the list of countries making economic progress when the UML Chair KP Sharma Oli is the Prime Minister.

“The UML is the only party that builds the nation. The party that is capable of carrying out works to that end should be allowed to work. Only then the country will become developed,” he added.

Stating that false information is being spread targeting the UML of late, he challenged those spreading such false information to carry out investigation into the topics linked to the UML.

General Secretary Pokhrel said attempts are being made to defame PM KP Oli as he firmly stands against anarchy.

“The UML remains in the hearts of the people and in the heart of the nation. In Nepal some people are engaged in the dirty game of hatching conspiracy over any topic. We should all be aware against such tendency,” he said, adding that false publicity has been made even when UML leaders have gone to Cambodia to participate in a programme.

Stating that the UML was in favour of carrying out investigation into the cooperative fund misappropriation, centering on the case rather than an individual, he said the Rastriya Swatantra Party chairman who instead advocated for investigating an individual is himself under investigation.

He expressed his objection, saying now the UML is being blamed for this. The UML General Secretary reiterated that the UML will acknowledge all suggestions in the context of nation building.
