Govt. simplifies procedure related to disbursing funds for temporary housing construction



Kathmandu, Nov 30: With the simplification of the procedure related to disbursing amounts for the construction of temporary housings for earthquake affected families, activities for the allocation of amount have been expedited.

The government has recently simplified the procedure after making some amendment to ‘Temporary Housing Construction Grant Procedure for Earthquake Affected Households-2080’ and Rs 25.35 million has been allocated as the first tranche for the construction of temporary housings for quake-affected families till the date.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, the amount was allocated for 1,014 beneficiaries. Authority Spokesperson, Dhurba Bahadur Khadka, shared that such number of beneficiaries have already received the amount.

A total of Rs 1.6 million was allocated for 64 families (beneficiaries) of Tribeni rural municipality of Rs 12.5 million for 500 beneficiaries of Aathbiskot municipality and Rs 11.25 million for 450 beneficiaries of Sanibheri rural municipality of Rukum Paschim district, added Khadka.

Each beneficiary would get Rs 25,000 as the first tranche.
