HPV vaccination campaign run with excitement-PM



Kathmandu, Feb 11: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has extended thanks to all the concerned agencies for successfully administering HPV vaccine against cervical cancer to over one million adolescent girls in the country.

Taking to his social media account today, he expressed gratefulness to the managers, health workers, volunteers, teachers, guardians and government and non-government agencies among others for their engagement in the campaign of anti-HPV vaccination.

The nationwide HPV vaccination campaign that began last February 4 is running with excitement. As many as 1 million adolescent girls have so far received vaccine service. The campaign will last till February 18″, PM Oli wrote on the social media.

According to Child Health and Vaccination Section Chief at the Department of Health Service Dr Abhiyan Gautam, a total of 1,016,771 adolescent girls have been so far administered HPV vaccines on the sixth day (Feb 10) since the beginning of vaccination drive. #nepal #health #rss
