Health Minister Thapa joins campaign ‘Two hours for the nation’

Bhaktapur, March 1: Minister for Health of Bagmati Province, Kiran Thapa, reached Araniko highway section at Lokanthali on Madhyapur Thimi municipality-1 carrying a broom and dustbin to support the campaign ‘Two hours for the nation’.

In course of 104-week long campaign, Minister Thapa joined the campaigners for Araniko highway clean-up programme this morning. On the occasion, he said local levels and locals should be made responsible to clean the road, adding preparation was underway to construct trauma centre in Bhaktapur in order to provide immediate treatment to those injured in road accidents.

“Road accidents take place frequently along Araniko highway. The life of the injured will be at risk while sending them to Kathmandu directly. So, the province government would develop and upgrade Suryabinayak Municipal Hospital as the trauma centre as it is necessary in Bhaktapur”, argued Minister Thapa.

Sharing that the province government would allocate necessary budget in the coming fiscal year to develop Suryabinayak Municipal Hospital as trauma centre, he added that the government has forwarded necessary process for the same.

Campaigner Nabaraj Kafle said the campaign has also been launched in Changunarayan municipality as well as a campaign to reduce road accidents has also been launched joining hands with traffic police. #nepal#health #rss
