Hetauda, March 24: The government-owned Hetaunda Cement Industry has halted the production beginning from today. According to the industry management, the production got halted due to technical issues in the cement kiln.
Industry deputy general manager, Nabin Kumar Karna said they have already proceeded towards restoring the kiln and the production is likely to resume by a week.
The Industry faces technical issues in its machinery time and again as it runs with years-old equipment.
The Industry was established by the government in 2032 BS and its commercial production had begun in 2043 BS. Currently, around 300 people are employed here.
